I don't know it looked like the mother was sheildeing the bear from the camera if you watch the last few minutes... which I don't get- if my child did that they would HAVE to return that bear... gads! LMAO
So we went to see Bolt at the Odeon (cinema) tonight.
I walk up the stairs loaded with my drink and munches, trying to hand the guy at the top my ticket without dropping at all. He tears my ticket in half and points to screen 9.
Almost immediately the evil criminal mastermind that whispers in my left ear, notices that there is no member of staff past this guy tearing tickets. having reached the absolute top in cinemaman-manship I guess there is no need.
Now right beside screen 9 is screen 10 and, screen 10 is showing Underworld: Rise of the Lycans.
So four of us get mysteriously lost and end up in the comfy seats at the back of screen 10, a pile of coats over the back of the seat between us and the door. The other three I guess watched Bolt.
It was a good film but I did have one question:
I think that the film started by saying that the whole vampire / lycan thing had started just 30 years earlier - the elders had not started to leapfrog through time and had not yet had that snazzy Hi Tech coffin holder room thing (they seemed to have a row boat at one stage)
sooooooo ... if everything really just started 30 or 40 years earlier, why were all the buildings, vampire thrones and all, so darned old ?
So we went to spend an exciting week in Wales, to be honest I am not sure why.
The snow had started to fall as we were driving to the place. We got a little lost and arrived a little late, mostly because the map at the back of the leaflet was all wrong.
By the time we arrived the snow was falling heavily, there was a few cms of the stuff on the floor and it was blowing around a little. Really pretty ...
There was a welcoming glow from the lamp over the cabin door, so in we trudged dragging our bags, it had been a long journey and all everyone - including poor Mr Lunt (the driver) wanted to do was fall asleep
The welcoming glow was from the emergency lamps that had come on when the power died. They keep glowing for about three hours, as they failed after about 20 minutes, we figured the power had been off for 2 hours 40 mins before we arrived
We all found bunks and fell into them on the basis that it would all be good in the morning ....
It wasn't, the people who were supposed to arrive to teach us whatever couldn't get to us and it was too snowy to drive away.
Mr Lunt did suggest that we turned some of our phones off and sort of pooled them, so we always had some working phone.
I lit the fire in the fireplace (twice) and the gas cooker was put into overdrive. I built snow men / women / dogs / cats / turtles. The toilet froze ...
I think that was about it ... we all got along quite well and I have a much greater respect for Mr Lunt than I ever did before, he worked really hard to make sure we were entertained and never really relaxed for the whole week.
I think we are due to get our money back, I hope we get our money back
Oh okay 22 is a bit too many for comfort I'll grant you that but it would make a fun game of touch football in the snow. Even the fastest runners would be equaled in that mess.
